There’s a myth out there that hurts a lot of well intentioned people. It’s the one that says success is easy, that you can cut corners and bypass the hard work necessary to turn a dream into a reality.
It’s what the smooth talking “guru” types are selling, and selling quite well, because they know that there are a lot of people who have bought into the lie of shortcuts, silver bullets and the path of least resistance.
Don’t fall for it.
Success, in whatever form you seek, takes work. Hard work. Sure, there are smart things you can do to avoid mistakes and you can learn best practices from others that might help speed up your journey but the work is still there.
Success doesn’t happen on its own. Waiting in line, expecting someone to hand it over or sell you the secret formula in a box just won’t do.
If you really want it, you have to earn it.
There’s no substitute.
It’s not easy but when payday comes around… and it will… the work makes it worth it.
