Perspective

If it’s important you’ll find a way. If it’s not, you’ll find an excuse.

I want to write a book.
I want to lose weight.
I want to make more money.
I want to change the world.
I want to….

Most of us have a list of “I want to’s” but far fewer of us go any further than that.

Why?

It’s not because we can’t, although sometimes we like to tell ourselves that.

It’s really because we don’t want to bad enough.

“If it’s important you’ll find a way. If it’s not, you’ll find an excuse.” Ryan Blair

It’s time to take inventory and decide.

Who do you want to become? What do you want to achieve?

There’s no better day than today to start turning those “I want to’s” into “to do’s.”

It might not be easy and it probably won’t happen overnight but your life, your mission, whatever it is you were called to do is too important for you to settle. Don’t keep putting it off. Don’t keep wishing and dreaming. Start doing.

And, when you want to give up… read this again and keep going.

Every success comes at a price (time, effort, attention). You just need to be willing to pay it.

So true. I love this quote. It’s going into my mental vault. :)

If you really want something bad enough you just have to put it out there. I make what I call a declaration…I basically tell anyone that will listen what I’m doing and why and now I have all of these people in and out of my life holding me accountable. I wouldn’t want to look foolish so I have no choice but to do whatever it is that I declared. I wrote a post on it a few weeks ago making a new declaration while I was at it! Would love your thoughts on it if you have time! http://www.marcensign.com/how-to-write-a-new-york-times-best-selling-book-from-a-guy-that-has-never-done-it-yet/

      What a great quote.

I know I always find it easy to do the things I’m passionate about and value. When I start making excesses I ask myself If I should be trying to do it in the first place.

GREAT POST!  So often people think success comes easy.  It looks that way when you’re only watching the performance.  You don’t see all the sweat equity that went into it.  Your quote “Every success comes at a price (time, effort, attention). You just need to be willing to pay it.” is a great reminder of this.
